Welcome to ITEC North East

Since 1982 we have trained, supported and encouraged local young people to meet the demands of an increasingly competitive employment marketplace. Achieving nationally recognised qualifications, earning a wage and gaining excellent career opportunities puts Apprenticeships in a league of their own.

Apprenticeships with ITEC are proven repeatedly, with ex-Apprentices rising through the ranks, becoming decision makers and role models, encouraging a new generation of young Apprentices into the workplace. Confirmed status as a Business & Management CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) acknowledges our delivery of high quality, specialist provision, producing qualified and skilled employees.

Our training centres in Gateshead, Aycliffe and Middlesbrough support a diverse regional partnership of employers working closely with us in Employer Forums, addressing issues relating to recruitment, training, staff development and the positive impact of Apprenticeships.

ITEC North East is totally committed to encouraging, valuing and managing equality and diversity for our staff and learners.  We comply with all legislation and strive to ensure that equality and diversity is promoted throughout all of our activities.

As a registered charity any trading surplus is re-invested in the business for the benefit and training of young people. This has resulted in the development of well equipped, industry standard environments within our three training centres.
