Cara Storer – Intermediate Business Administration Apprentice at NFU Mutual Durham

Cara commenced on her framework in May 2015, she is an exemplary learner and work is completed to an excellent standard on her monthly action plans.  Cara seeks clarification for anything she is unsure of and regularly keeps in touch with the WBL Tutor by email, sending work through for feedback.  Cara has developed in her work role where she works as NFU Mutual in Meadowfield processing insurance renewals for clients.  She has built up an excellent working relationship with her work colleagues Pat and Kate Sowden (Supervisor) and the company has recently taken on two new Apprentices on the same framework who she has taken “under her wing” and is supporting.

Cara has become efficient and effective in her job role and there has been a marked difference in how she can now answer telephone queries from clients.  Cara is always professional but has such a bubbly personality (like a little ray of sunshine) she has been a joy to work alongside.  She recently completed Functional Skills in ICT at Level 1 and was concerned that she wouldn’t pass the online test, after completing the workbook and sample assignment book and carrying out independent learning she flew through the online test and now is keen to complete this at Level 2.

Cara explained: “Throughout my time with ITEC completing Business Admin Level 2 I have found it a very good experience.  I have found that Dawn has been the most helpful person throughout my time and I am very grateful for this.  She has given me the correct support to help me. I am looking forward to continuing this year.”Cara Storer Photo
