Faye Corner Achieves Learner Award

Faye Corner (18) has been successfully presented with a Learner Award to celebrate her apprenticeship achievement. Faye started at Hemlington medical practice in 2015 and has recently achieved an Intermediate Business Administration apprenticeship.

Faye Corner (18) has been successfully presented with a Learner Award to celebrate her apprenticeship achievement. Faye started at Hemlington medical practice in 2015 and has recently achieved an Intermediate Business Administration apprenticeship.

Faye’s tutor Jacqui Sprott nominated Faye for the award, explaining “She  is a very proactive and mature learner, due to this she has been given opportunities’ that far exceed work expected on an apprenticeship. Faye is able to demonstrate a good understanding of the various duties involved in her administrator role and has recently taken on the training role and support for new employees. She has shown interest in developing herself with in the practice and has recently attended Phlebotomy training, which will allow her to take on a career in the NHS. She regularly interacts with customers and colleagues both face to face and over the telephone, despite dealing with her own personal issues she always maintains a professional image of the practice”

On receiving the award Faye added “I have really enjoyed my experience working at Hemlington Medical Centre. ITEC have helped me gain a qualification in Business Administration which has given me the opportunity to progress in my career in the future. Both my colleagues at Hemlington Medical Centre and the staff at ITEC have been helpful and friendly, especially my mentor Jacqui Sprott”
