There is no set time to complete an Apprenticeship as everyone works at their own pace completing a mix of on and off-the-job training.
Apprenticeships are equivalent to 5 GCSE’s at grades A-C.
Advanced Apprenticeships are equivalent to 2 A levels/one vocational A level.  All Apprenticeships include an appropriate NVQ (National Vocational Qualification).  Candidates have the opportunity to improve their Key Skills and gain a Technical Certificate.

Apprenticeships & Advanced Apprenticeships

Selection Process - You will be eligible to apply for an Apprenticeship if you live in England and you’re not involved with full-time education.  There are no set entry requirements.

The selection process is just like any other job application.
You’ll be invited to an interview and asked to take tests, which will assess if you are a suitable candidate. ITEC North East (the learning provider) and employers may both carry out their own interview procedures so it’s best to be prepared. A successful Apprentice may or may not be employed, however all candidates commencing an Advanced Apprenticeship must be employed. Apprenticeships can be demanding, but rewarding and if you want to succeed, you will certainly need to demonstrate commitment. Visit www.apprenticeships.org.uk www.edge.co.uk
