NVQ’s - National Vocational Qualifications
NVQ’s define what employees do in their jobs, based on practical skills and knowledge demonstrated in the workplace. Candidates are assessed on their ability to do their job competently and to the required national standard. NVQ’s enable individuals to develop their work related skills, knowledge and understanding.
NVQ’s are designed and developed by employers relating to specific occupational areas and recognised by employers and academic institutes. An NVQ forms one strand of an Apprenticeship along with Key Skills and a Technical Certificate.
