What Are Apprenticeships?
“By doing this apprenticeship I feel like I’m making positive progress, I am much more confident as a person and I am gaining relevant skills and qualities which will benefit me in the future.” Hannah Jabari, The National Careers Service in Bishop Auckland.
“My role is so varied and one day is never the same. A lot of the time I’ll be on the phone to customers, but I often work alongside new apprentices showing them the ropes, in between updating spreadsheets and keeping on top of admin. I’ve learned so much thanks to Mobile Mini’s mentoring programme and the continuous support from my colleagues.” Macauley Underwood, Mobile Mini in Stockton.
Apprenticeships are recognised as good news for learners and employers, to play their part in society and in growing the economy. Apprentices work alongside experienced staff to develop both the practical and personal skills employers really need to run a successful business. Each nationally recognised qualification is designed by employers, for employers and delivered by ITEC staff in the workplace with total commitment to flexibility and minimal disruption.
Apprentices are able to learn, achieve and contribute from day one whilst employers can reap the rewards of a motivated, confident, productive workforce.
Apprenticeships are available at levels to suit new recruits and established employees.
- Intermediate Level Apprenticeship (Level 2)
- Advanced Level Apprenticeship (Level 3)
- Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4)

A post on our Facebook page from Dan Loudon –
“Hello, I want to thank ITEC for making my dreams come true. I started an apprenticeship in August 2013 at Thornaby Academy as an IT Technician, the apprenticeship ended in March 2015, I have been kept on full time at Thornaby Academy and love my job.
I want to thank Dawn Skelton and Anthony Grainger for all the help that they have given me with my framework and Cisco IT essentials. I would 100% recommend ITEC to anybody who is looking for an apprenticeship and training, I have enjoyed my time working with Dawn and Tony, I’ve learnt loads!
Thanks again ITEC.”
