Property consultancy Walton Robinson has a strong track record of working with apprentices in a range of disciplines. The company actively dedicates time and resources to train and guide their new recruits which has resulted in apprentices being true assets to the business.
The company have recently been awarded with the “Employer Recognition Award” from provider ITEC who helped WR recruit 2 apprentices to the New Tenancies Department and Property Management departments studying towards qualifications in business administration.
Natasha Francis at ITEC said “We are delighted to have awarded Walton Robinson with the employer recognition award, this was given for their support, guidance and commitment given to their apprentices with ITEC North East. All apprentices are given allocated time to complete their work as well as the support from ALL work colleagues and not just members of their team”
Several apprentices have successfully joined the company’s workforce in full-time and permanent roles following the completion of their course. Sophie Adcock, 21, joined Walton Robinson 3 years ago, as an apprentice sales administrator. Sophie said; “I chose to do an apprenticeship so I could gain sales experience and develop my skills. I knew it was a great way to earn a wage, whilst studying towards a qualification. I started my apprenticeship with Walton Robinson as an administrator, and I have worked my way up to Senior Property Co-ordinator, which I am very grateful for. It has been an amazing opportunity, which I will never regret!”
Chris Toye, Chief of Staff at Walton Robinson says, “Our company philosophy with regards to working with apprenticeships is as follows:
“Tell me and I forget, show me and I remember; involve me and I understand”
We look for candidates who have a positive attitude, who want to have a career and who want to work hard. We understand that the individuals long term career might not be with ourselves, or in the property industry, but if that individual buys in to what we are doing as a company for the 12 months of their apprenticeship, I guarantee they will then be ready for further employment – the vast majority of apprentice entrants we take on have been retained by ourselves on a full-time contract.”
Walton Robinson are currently recruiting another business administration apprentice. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your CV and cover letter.
