Bishops Close Medical Centre are nominated for employer of the month award.
The employer of the month is deservedly awarded to Bishop’s Close Medical Practice, Spennymoor.
Since Tom Sutton began his Business Administration Level 2 apprenticeship programme in March 2017 at Bishop’s Close Medical Practice, his supervisor Sue Greenwell has played a positive instrumental role in overseeing Tom’s continuous professional development in the workplace. Over the past 8 months, Sue and the team have supported Tom in terms of developing his skills, knowledge and experience to enable him to meet the demands of an extremely busy medical practice. Because of the support from his employer and of course Tom’s enthusiasm and motivation, he is now a valuable and functioning member of the Practice team. He is still learning and will eventually branch out into other departments to develop his skills further.
On my visits to the company, I am always welcomed by all the staff and Sue always takes a particular interest with regard to Tom’s ongoing progress towards completion of his Business Administration level 2 apprenticeship qualifications. She is actively involved in our formal review of progress meetings where we also discuss what is going well in terms of his workplace development. Recently, Tom has attended CPR and fire awareness training which are mandatory as part of his ongoing CPD.
It is very refreshing to work with such an enthusiastic employer who always strives to do their upmost to ensure the development of their apprentice.
