Deanna has recently been awarded a Learner Award by her tutor Dawn Skelton. Deanna commenced on her Business Administration Level 2 framework in May 2016 and she has become an exemplary learner, she has completed 18% of her framework (target 7%) and is emailing work between visits to the Work Based Learning Tutor which is good working practice.
Dawn explained “Deanna’s commitment and motivation is exceptional, she applies herself to complete actions on her monthly action plan as soon as possible. Deanna’s spelling and grammar could be improved and she is working consistently to improve this, I’ve noticed a remarkable improvement in her written work and she is regularly spell checking and proof reading her work now prior to sending through by email for feedback”
As part of Deanna’s framework she is required to complete both Functional Skills in Maths and ICT and it has been agreed to complete these at level 2, she has been attending off the job support sessions for both IT and Maths with Derek, her Functional Skills tutor, and she is making excellent progress. She is accessing the BKSB live website on a daily basis and has logged up numerous hours on there, completing resources and skills sets and revision exercises in remarkable time. Derek has along with me been singing her praise, such a “star” pupil, she has certainly “hit the ground running”.
In her work role, Deanna’s attendance is not 100% but is improving; timekeeping is excellent Deanna arrives at 8.20am to start at 8.30am. Deanna has been allocated some independent administration duties and she has a check list for tasks and duties. Deanna is quick to pick up new tasks and information.
