IT Support Apprenticeship
An IT Support Technician provides support to internal and external customers, helping them to be productive when using technology to do their own jobs, by using tools to problem solve and troubleshoot non-routine problems. Information Support Technician sets people up on systems and provides support when they need it, rectifying issues to maintain the organisations productivity.
In this level 3 apprenticeship, you will learn about cabling and connectivity, maintenance processes and maintaining a secure network. You’ll also cover working with mobile devices, different Operating Systems, Cloud Services and the importance of disaster recovery. The qualification will help you gain the skills you need to excel in a variety of roles, such as Help Desk Technician, IT Support Technician and Network Support.
The IT Support Technician apprenticeship has a duration of 18 months. The last 3 months of the apprenticeship is known as “gateway” and this is the period of time where you finalise your portfolio and prepare for your End Point Assessment.
