Vacancy description

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle customer orders from throughout the North East of England
  • Arrange deliveries into Europe by road
  • Taking bookings and planning
  • Quoting customers using our in-house pricing tool
  • Liasing with our overseas offices, sub contractors and drivers
  • Any other tasks deemed commensurate with the role of Forwarding Operator / Customer Service

  • IT competent, particularly with reference to the use of Word and Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Pleasant and competent telephone manner

  • Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship Standard
  • Functional Skills if required
