IT Support Technician
- The IT Support Technician will assist in maintaining and supporting all IT-systems, hardware, user applications, and telephone infrastructure for both ourselves, and our customers
- Initially the work will be focused on supporting individual computers dealing with both hardware and software issues
- As your progress in your role this will transition to also supporting networked computers, and then servers
Initially all work will be undertaken at our offices so you will either be working on hardware that has been brought to us, or via remote support connections to client sites. As you progress you will be taken to client sites to gain onsite experience. By the completion of your apprenticeship, you will need to hold a full clean UK driving license with access to transportation that can be used for business use.
We have an enviable track record of promoting apprentices who successfully complete their course to fully fledged IT Support Technicians. This role requires the ability to attend customer sites located throughout the region at short notice.
Substantial previous experience with desktop and laptop computers is required. This experience must include the ability to identify and replace all main hardware components and install and repair operating systems and mainstream software packages.
