Alex Maughan has been presented with the learner of the month award by ITEC North East as she has excelled in her role within the Transport Service Department at Connection Retail recently.
Alex’s Line Manager, Ellie Broom explained that Alex has been given new responsibilities within the team and that these are an extremely important role in the department and Alex picked up the complicated role within a week and was running it alone, without help, after 2 weeks! Ellie said that Alex has made no mistakes with this, her attention to detail has improved dramatically and her confidence has grown.
Ellie went on to explain that throughout the Transport Service Department, the team aims to respond to customers within 3 working hours. In April Alex did over 1000 emails (1087) and she was number one throughout the company, not only at their Head Office but throughout their 12 stores too. Alex smashed this target again in May and was named number one throughout the company for a second month.
Ellie went on to add that she monitors email statistics on a monthly basis for the team and that the target they have to hit is 5% of emails responded to by themselves and Alex hit 8.15%.
As her Work Based Learning Tutor I am very proud of what Alex has achieved over the last 2 months and have great pleasure in presenting her with this award.
