The eighth annual National Apprenticeship Week takes place from 9-13 March 2015 with hundreds of events expected to take place across England.
The week, which is co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service, is designed to celebrate Apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the economy.
Every year the Week increases in popularity and National Apprenticeship Week 2014 was a huge success, with around 1100 events and activities on offer. These ranged from business events designed to encourage more employers to recruit apprentices, to interactive careers events aimed at potential apprentices.
For 2015, supporters are being encouraged to organise events and activities that will help to increase the number of SME workplaces offering apprenticeships from 124,000 (in the academic year 2013 to 2014) to 140,000 by the academic year 2015 to 2016.
