The Network Engineer apprenticeship (level 4) apprenticeship will help you to develop strong networking skills, allows you to receive industry recognised Cisco qualifications and an opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge and skills you have developed within the industry.
As a network engineer, you will design, install, maintain and support communication networks. In this level 4 apprenticeship, you’ll learn to work with network components including switches, routers and firewalls, and how to optimise the performance of network systems and services. You’ll be able to take a structured approach to troubleshooting network issues, repair faults and upgrade systems. This qualification will help you to excel in job roles including Network Technician, Systems Engineer and Network Administrator.
The Network Engineer apprenticeship has a duration of 18 months. The last 3 months of the apprenticeship is known as “gateway” and this is the period of time where you finalise your portfolio and prepare for your End Point Assessment.
