Warehouse Operative – Amsterdam

Initially, you will be required to undertake a 10-day Schipol Airport training program at ITEC NE to concentrate on completing security forms, motivational letters, up-skilling in key areas, meeting the employer and interview. This initial training programme will take place at ITEC NE’s office based at Advanced House in Hartlepool (Tees Valley).
The work is based at Schiphol airport, close to Amsterdam. You will be working in cargo at the airport. A current passport and references are required in order to apply.
Your role will be to break down incoming Cargo and locate freight for forwarding to various countries around Europe.
You will have an agreed number of plates to break down at the beginning of a shift; on these plates you will have pallets and boxes. These will have an Airway bill for identification and you will be required to break down each plate and ensure all loose boxes are stacked on pallets in layers, each layer will contain the same number of boxes, this cargo has to be counted and checked for correct quantities, so it is important that products are not mixed.
We need people who are:
- Physically fit
- Have good communication skills
- Previous experience is not necessary as on the job training is provided
Rates of Pay
Hours vary according to flights however we aim to achieve an average of 35 – 40 hours per week:
- The tariff for normal working hours are €12.47 to €17.42 per hour.
Payment is weekly in arrears of one week. These will be transferred into your UK or Dutch bank account at the end of each week.
Living arrangements will be set up prior to you starting work, this will be based on a house share and rent will be deducted from your wages.
All utilities will be covered.
