World Youth Skills Day 2019

World Youth Skills Day 2019

2019 World Youth Skills Day – Change Lives through Education & Training

Young people are almost three times more likely to be unemployed than adults and continuously exposed to lower quality of jobs and longer, more insecure school-to-work transitions.

That is why education and training are key determinants of success. But unfortunately, existing systems are failing to address the learning needs of many young people, and surveys of learning outcomes and skills show that a large number of young people have low levels of achievement in basic literacy and numeracy.

This is where ITEC North East can step in and work throughout the North East to help progress and achieve an individual’s Functional Skills in numeracy and literacy before leading them into the workplace.

With ITEC North East you can choose from a variety of training programmes no matter what stage you’re at. A great way to kick-start a career change or something to improve your chances of getting that next promotion. From apprenticeships in digital marketing and leadership to Cisco and Microsoft certification – we’ve got it covered.
